The power of Word of Mouth

It has been found to be the most effective way to win new customers. According to an article posted on www.usefulsocialmedia.com, 91 percent of business-to-business buyers are influenced by Word of Mouth when making their decision to purchase. Eighty-four percent of consumers say they either completely or somewhat trust recommendations from family and friends about products – making these recommendations the information source ranked highest for trustworthiness [Nielson]. Seventy-four percent of consumers identify Word of Mouth as a key influencer in their purchasing decision. [Ogilvy/Google/TNS]
